BODY-READING & POSTURAL ANALYSIS
Body-reading, is the procedure of postural analysis of the body in standing position. Through Body-reading, we are able to observe tilts, shifts or rotations in parts of the human body in all anatomical planes (sagittal, coronal, transverse).
We offer static and dynamic postural analysis. During static analysis the client is in standing position and the examiner observes the whole body from different angles. During dynamic analysis we do some movement tests, where we can check for musculoskeletal imbalances or restrictions of the body. The duration of the procedure is about 45min.
Body-reading is the first and main stage of Structural Bodywork which is ideal for everyone, especially children (they must be 7 years old at least).
The main reason that children should have Body-reading is: Prevention
During body development, we may observe some musculoskeletal issues or imbalances such as: kyphosis, lordosis, knock knees, fallen arches or flat feet etc, that affect the daily life of our children and therefore those issues are probably getting worst while aging. From the age of 7, children can have this evaluation in order to prevent such problems or even if some of these issues are already in progress, we can help their body to improve, with corrective Strengthening and Stretching exersices.
A few days after Postural Analysis, you get a detail report of the findings. Upon this report, you also get a suggestion of strenghtening and stretching exercises for the muscle groups you need to work with.
Keeping a nice posture of the body during our daily life seems to be very important for us adults, too. Many musculoskeletal or pain issues are growing because of poor posture in our daily activities. So knowing what's going wrong with our posture by having this evaluation, would be very helpful.
For adults, the technique of Myofascial release is strongly recommended in case of musculoskeletal findings and afterwards the Strengthening and Stretching exercises program in order to improve your body posture.
